Loch Ness RNLI race to grounded yacht

Two volunteers from Loch Ness RNLI, travelling to work in Inverness, reported a yacht aground at the head of the river Ness.
Crew member Martin Douglas alerted HM Coastguard in Aberdeen whilst shore helper Linda Ross gave Lifeboat Operations Manager, Ewan Cameron, an early warning call.

Double call for Loch Ness rescue boat

The lifeboat crew of RNLI Loch Ness had a dramatic double call-out this evening (Tuesday) when a search of the loch turned into a medical emergency.
The volunteers were called to search for a missing kayaker at around 7.25pm after he became separated from his colleagues and could not be reached by mobile phone or radio.
