A pedestrian has died after being involved in a collision with a vehicle at Conon Bridge at around 5.30pm this evening (Wed)

Conon Bridge pub demolition appeal turned down

BBC – An appeal against a council’s refusal to approve plans to demolish a long-established pub in Ross-shire and build flats on the site has been turned down. The Drouthy Duck is believed to be the oldest building in Conon Bridge. Highland Council refused a planning application setting out the proposal to pull it down.

2000 bees close entrance to M&S store in Inverness

STV – A swarm of bees caused a real buzz at an M&S store in Inverness on Tuesday. Around 2000 honey bees gathered at the entrance to the shop, above the Marks & Spencer’s sign, and forced the closure of an entrance to the major store about 2pm.
