Forres butcher is first recipient of new training award

Scotland: Land of Food and Drink – A butcher in Forres has become the first recipient of a new training award. Willie McNeill, 21, was presented with his craftsman certificate from the Scottish Federation of Meat Traders last week. Macbeth’s Butchers, which runs its in-house scheme through Scottish Meat Training, is the first in the independent sector of the UK food industry to be officially rated through the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework.
