Herald Scotland – An 11-year-old girl has told how she thought she was going to die during a horrific dog attack that left her with 18 stitches in her leg. The girl spent two days in hospital after the brown boxer sank its teeth into her leg and refused to let go for more than five minutes. It took two men to prise its clamped jaws off the terrified youngster, leaving her “scarred for life”. The girl, who cannot be identified, had been walking her pet Jack Russell on a footpath last November in Turriff, Aberdeenshire, when the incident happened.
