Press and Journal – An employment tribunal in Inverness heard yesterday that a line worker for a medical equipment company was sacked after he failed to wear his glasses and allowed defective equipment to pass through his checks. Duncan MacKenzie, 38, of High Street, Forres, had worked for Lifescan, Beechwood Park, Inverness, for eight years and was in charge of checking for any defects in sheets of blood glucose strips for diabetics.
