Press and Journal – THE organisers of Loopallu festival at Ullapool announced a major coup last night by signing up Scots singing sensation Paolo Nutini for the Friday top act. With sell-out shows and festival appearances throughout the world and second album Sunny Side Up debuting at number 1 in the UK charts earlier this year, Paolo is set to raise the roof of the Loopallu Big Top. Organisers believe his appearance at the “little fest in the west” – Friday September 17 and Saturday September 18 – will be a contender for the highlight of this year’s festival calendar.
