Press and Journal – A repeat of their weekend four-goal demolition of Dundee United was unlikely, but Inverness comfortably beat Second Division Peterhead to reach the third round of the League Cup at Caledonian Stadium last night. Caley Jags were impressive at Tanndice and continued their positive start to the campaign last night, with leading scorer Adam Rooney scoring twice and Grant Munro also on target. There was to be no mass reunion of former Caley Jags players in the Highland capital as Blue Toon defender Bobby Mann missed out with an ankle injury and attacker Martin Bavidge was unavailable due to work commitments.
