Northern Scot – AN Elgin man has sent out an SOS to some of the leading names in showbusiness, in his bid to save Red Shoes Theatre which has hosted its final performance. Gary Souter, who regularly attended events there, heard rumours last week that the building on South College Street had shut as a theatre venue. Those rumours were confirmed as fact this week. He immediately started an online ‘SOS, Save Our Shoes’ campaign aimed at attracting support and funding. Based on the social networking site Facebook, his page already has more than 100 members.
