Press and Journal – A dementia sufferer from Fraserburgh has lost a court appeal seeking full access to her income. The 37-year-old woman, named only as YW in a ruling by a sheriff, was hoping to overturn a decision by the Scottish Public Guardian which transferred control of her funds to Aberdeenshire Council. The step was taken over fears she was incapable of making financial decisions due to her condition. The case called at Peterhead Sheriff Court last month.
