Inverness Courier – THIEVES have stolen more than £1000-worth of boating equipment from a group of city youngsters. It is the third time in the last 12 months that Inverness Sea Scouts has been targeted – depriving cadets of essential equipment. In the latest attack, thieves made off with two small boats known as Funyaks, worth £250 each, and an £800 Canadian canoe from the scout base at Muirtown. Last month seating and flags were stolen from the group’s 39ft training boat in Dochgarroch and around a year ago an engine from a new £4500 power boat was taken.
