Press and Journal – Moves by Aberdeenshire Council to franchise the tearoom at a popular north-east art gallery have prompted interest from a number of potential operators. The local authority revealed yesterday that 26 inquiries had been received about the facility at Banff’s Duff House gallery. The council decided earlier this year to seek an outside caterer as part of a range of measures to improve the running of the gallery and contain spending.
