Fraud mum’s 98 years to pay off £50K

Scottish Sun – A MUM jailed for 12 months yesterday for a £50,000 benefits fraud has been allowed 98 YEARS to pay the cash back. Shameless Karen Thom, 42, had claimed she was a single parent to four kids when she was really living with her husband Ian. She was ordered to pay back the sum – pocketed over a near five-year period – at just £19.50 a fortnight.
