Lochaber Showstoppers dishes up a treat for all tastes
Lochaber Showstoppers are busy cooking up their new production The Baker’s Wife.
And director Sheena Coull is certain audiences will love the new show. “It may not be a well known musical amongst local audiences, but once people experience its humour and warmth, they are certain to love it as much as we do. The Baker’s Wife is a tale of a community in turmoil. The folks in this town have some big problems in the “love thy neighbour” department, and they need a crisis to bring them together.”
The story focuses on Aimable, a shy, sweet-natured middle-aged baker, who is hired by a small village in Provence to take over for the recently deceased bread maker. He brings with him his pretty young wife, Genevieve. The baker’s wife soon runs off with a sexy chauffeur, her despairing husband refuses to bake, and suddenly the villagers find themselves breadless.
Lochaber Showstoppers presents The Baker’s Wife at the Nevis Centre on Thursday 25th, Friday 26th and Saturday 27th March 2010 at 7:30pm. Tickets are £8 Adults and £6 concession available from the Nevis Centre box office on 01397 700707.
